Gary Selden named faculty advisor for Strategic Leadership Residency
After a thorough national search and evaluation of candidates by independent sources, the Executive MBA Council named Gary Selden, associate professor of marketing and professional sales at Kennesaw State University, faculty advisor for the council’s Certification for Executive MBA Administrators (CEMA) Strategic Leadership Residency (SLR) Program.

Selden resigned from the council’s Board of Trustees to assume this new position. A certification requirement, the SLR Program will focus on high-level academic strategy development, management competencies, project development, and leadership in higher education. The first SLR Program will be held June 5-10, 2004.

Selden received his Ph.D. in adult education and human resource development from the University of Georgia and an MBA in marketing and healthcare marketing from Kennesaw State University. He has more than 15 years of experience in higher education and 10 years in the Executive MBA field as a director and faculty member.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to oversee a world-class faculty dedicated to promoting our membership’s career goals and the professionalism of our industry,” says Selden.

Look for additional information about SLR Program in upcoming issues of Exchange.
